Mrs. Monica Borrego
My name is Monica Borrego, and I have been in education for over thirty years! My dedication and devotion to being a life-long learner began in El Paso ISD in 1990. I proudly taught second-grade bilingual and first-grade monolingual students for five years before marrying my husband, Sergio Borrego, in 1995. We moved to Harlingen, and I taught seventh grade G/T students before becoming an assistant principal in Brownsville ISD. We were blessed with two amazing, gifted, and talented children Amari Natile (Judson graduate 2016) and Remy Esai (Judson graduate 2018).
We moved to Schertz in 2000 and I continued my dedication and devotion to the life of being a wife, mother, and Judson ISD administrator for the past 20 years. I also had the privilege of working at district office for 5 years. My educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and preparing them for the future. I have served the Kirby, Ed Franz, Hartman, Elolf, Veterans Memorial and Masters communities. I have fond memories and great relationships with several dedicated individuals at each campus.
My educational philosophy is based on my uncompromising belief that all students can learn given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and most of all a supportive family. All of which can be found at Spring Meadows College Prep Academy. I am overjoyed to begin this school year and look forward to meeting each one of you!
