We are getting excited for the Storybook C;haracter Parade next Friday, October 30th. Here are some important details:💚💛
*All students may dress up as their favorite storybook character; MUST be school appropriate no masks, blood, or weapons
*Only PreK-2nd will walk the parade route; see flyer
*3rd-5th will be cheering the younger students in the hallway
*Parents are welcome to watch the parade; see flyer
*Parade will start at approximatley 9:30.

Today at SMCP we celebrated our custodians for their hard work and dedication. With about 600 students and 80 employees, it does not go unnoticed the amount of work and persistence it takes to keep the building clean and orderly. Our custodian staff is amazing and we are lucky to have them.💚💛

What is BOY Testing?
Over the two weeks, students will participate in the NWEA MAP Growth assessments in 1-5 Reading and Math as well as 5th Grade Science. These assessments help us understand each child's current academic strengths and areas for growth at the beginning of the school year.
MAP Growth is an adaptive assessment, which means the questions adjust based on student responses. This allows us to gather accurate information about each student's learning needs and develop instruction that supports their individual growth.
The results are not used for grades. Instead, they provide valuable data that teachers use to set goals, monitor progress, and plan targeted instruction throughout the year.
We encourage students to get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and do their best on each assessment. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child's success.

Dear SMCP Families,
Spring Meadows College Prep conducted a practice LOCKDOWN Drill today. LOCKDOWN drills are conducted to ensure students and staff practice the Standard Response Protocols and know how to respond should a LOCKDOWN occur at our school.
Our students and staff did an excellent job during the drill, and we will debrief with our local first responders to continue to identify any areas for improvement. Thank you for your continued support.

Los simulacros de CIERRE DE EMERGENCIA son conducidos para asegurar que los estudiantes y el personal practiquen los Protocolos de Respuesta Estándar y sepan cómo responder en el evento en que nuestra escuela tenga que realizar un CIERRE DE EMERGENCIA.
